Bibs aren't just for babies

Hi Hi!

All i can say is thank goodness i write posts the night before because i have a nightmare headache today and all i want to do is bond with my duvet and pvr :oP

Here is my Weekend Recap!

Lookie here a picture of me post run, i did it!

So how was everyones weekend?

Thats really great!

So now we have caught up

Lets talk about the 5K I did this weekend!

Can i get a woot woot?

Its okay i'll wait while you woot (new AWESOME phrase i just created, you can thank me later)

Alright, i'll quickly sum up the rest of the weekend so we can get on to the race

Friday I went for a run and then went to work and then this might have happened :oS

Its okay, sometimes you just have to go with what your body wants, especially when its PMSee

LRT Movie Review
The Dilemma

This movie was alright, Vince Vaughn is starting to annoy me though, his ramblings are just a little much now he is a grown up
Pretty heavy subject matter with a few laugh out loud moments
Not super good movie but not super bad
How was that for a helpful educated movie review? Sorry!

This helps mellow stressy PMSee Donna out, mmmm beer!

Saturday i worked some more and then came home and iced my leg while giving Sydney cuddles

Okay that was pretty dull - its okay, i acknowledge it

Lets move on to RACE DAY!!!

First there was Race Day Breakfast, just looking at this picture makes me hungry again!
This is Whole Wheat Flatbread topped with Peanut Butter, Apple Butter, Sunflower Seeds & Raisins

Then i took Fur baby for a walk and tried to ignore the wet sidewalks

And focus on the spring around me

It was hard having to tell the Doodle she wasn't going to race with me! I made up for it later with a fabulous game of chase mr. rhino!

So once i was ready i acted like a idiot in front of the bathroom mirror like usual

Do i look excited and a little bit rapper??

Well this is how i really felt!  That and i noticed how badly i needed to tidy up our bathroom, teehehee

So off i went to pick up Lesley this is us getting ready in the car!

My stomach was a little wonky but i was more excited then scared

So let me tell you about this race
It was the Brantford Classic and there was a 5K and 10K which raised $ for Brantford Schools
Compared to the Terry Fox run that Katie and I ran last year, this race was way more advanced
We had bibs, yyyaaaaayyyyy (i've always wanted to run a race with a bib), and we also had timing chips!  i got a free tshirt and a drink and lunch but i didn't feel like partaking in  a burger and pop so i skipped that part :oP

We warmed up in the car then ran into our friend Hilary who ran the race with her hubby and adorable daughter Ali

Since Dave had to work and my parents were puppysitting Alice, Lesley's husband and kids stalked us via minivan along the course, i'm really excited to see some of those photos since we didn't always see him before he had taken quite a few photos!

And we were off, soooo many people

HAD to take a running shot for Katie & Lynsey who dropped by work Saturday and said i must must must take ridiculous photos and blog about them (lol, like its ever a question, we all know i like to make a fool of myself!)

We kept a steady pace and walked for 1 minute for every 10 we ran, and even though i got a cramp, i ran through it, i think it was from not keeping a steady pace as we were constantly weaving in and out of runners and people who would just randomly stop running and start to walk creating a crazy game of dodge and weave!  The last 1km was a hill and towards the end i was definitely starting to wilt but adrenaline kicked in and we raced across the finish line at 36:50 and 261 out of 970 runners :o)

Somehow we missed the water station so we were dying of thirst by the time we finished but i'm SO proud of us, we only decided to do this race on Tuesday!!!!!!!!!

After a long drive home where i got stuck in race traffic, i made lunch

Old cheddar and apple butter on multigrain bread with balsamic bbq sauce for dipping, mmmmmm
Drank coconut water

And then the medal and i went out with my mum!

It was the Brantford new homes tour

Medal loves fake food in show homes, just wish it had warned me before i tried to take a bite of the garlic bread

Medal wanted to show the new house off to my mum, even if it meant me getting soaking wet

Medal was in desperate need of caffeine so we hit up Starbucks

Once home i decided to make Katies yummy home made granola and Medal wanted to take photos

So the answer is yes i wore the medal all day and even though it makes me a total dork, i'm a proud runner dork and i'm 100% okay with that!

Alright so recipe for the day is another Buckwheat Bake and its magically delicious (don't worry its not lucky charms, hahaaaaa)
