Let me be your tenant

So its true

I'm 32 years old

I live with my parents

And my hunny

Also my child who is covered in fur lives with us too

Next stop Jerry Springer?

Nah, it's only going to be for 30 days*

BUT

I made the executive decision before we moved in that we would act like tenants, stay downstairs most of the time and try to keep life as normal as possible

That lasted about an hour

The other night i could be found sitting on my parents bedroom floor (for some odd reason our family of 4 used to regularly sit and have chats in my parents bedroom or bathroom) chatting away with them while eating their vinta crackers and letting my dad make me rum and cokes

This living with my parents thing is rough!

Have i mentioned they keep boxes of dairy milk chocolate in the fruit pantry that they don't think i know about?

Muahahahahaaaaaa ;o)

*I'm pretty sure i have heard my parents chant this on more then one occasion

To thank my parents for all their generosity I wanted to make a tasty breakfast!

I had some Justins Maple Almond Butter that a friend brought me back from the states and i was dying to use it so i made a twist on my breakfast cookie

Maple Apple Breakfast Cookie

Ingredients
1/3 cup of oatmeal flour
1 egg white
1/2 banana mashed
1/2 apple chopped
1 tsp of chia seeds
1 tsp of ground flax
1/4 tsp of baking powder
5 drops of stevia

Directions
Mash wet ingredients together
Add dry ingredients
Microwave on high for 90 seconds (which i just realized is the same as 1 minute 30 seconds, yes i'm THAT blonde)

Best Part? The toppings!!!
OMG this was soooo good, i can't wait to make it again!
Justin - whoever you are, won't you bring your nut butter to Canada.... PLEASE???

See you tomorrow where we will have a tour of the new house :o)

Haha. Just remember, it's only for 30 days!!! Enjoy the time with them, soon you'll be gone.

Those cookies look YUM!
Mmmm....lookin' good! And your parents' gardens are gorgeous! And don't lock livin' with the 'rents....it works for me! :) I'm gonna make a Wegman's pit stop in Buffalo this weekend....anything you'd like me to pick up for you?
So now I know you know about the Cadbury's chocolate I will be finding a new hiding place. By the way - I thought tenants paid rent!!!!!! I believe you owe a security deposit and first month rent in advance, provide references that you are trustworthy, clean and tidy (I should probably not hold my breath on that one "lol") and then of course there is the extra storage space that needs to be paid for (double car garage, back bedroom, work shop, etc.etc.), Perhaps I will have to hold the fur baby as ransom when you leave if you have not paid up. Do not go giving your cute baby face to your Dad because you know he will waive all of the above because he is such a softie. Love you kiddo
breakfast + cookie??? i already like it!

enjoy the new (temporary) living arrangements - looks lovely
I now know where the sense of humor comes from.....Love it, you go mum!!!!
Because i backed you up mum can i get a small reward...like maybe some Cadbury's chocolate.
Oh, I love that yard! So gorgeous! I'd be quite happy living with my parents. My husband would be quite happy living with his. But it would be a little bit strange for the one of us who would have to live with the in-laws, as much as we love them.
Beautiful yard! And what a nice tenant of you to make breakfast for them :) Sounds like you get along well with your parents - I'm sure they are actually secretly enjoying you being there for 30 days. Now if you were moving in with them indefinitely...that might be another story. How close is your parents' house to where you were living/where you will be living? (Did you see them often before you "became their tenants"?)
wow! that looks great!!!
i'm not a huge fan of oat flour but i bet i can sub another flour in its place. peanut flour maybe!
