False alarm post title: i'm not suffering some kind of crisis or experiencing my "unreasonable time" this is once again a vent free zone ;o)
I have a review AND a recipe for you today, its Tuesday, what can i say, i'm feeling generous today (don't ask me to share either my product or my food, thats pushing it!)
Before we left for Aruba BF and i decided we needed new backpacks, our Roots ones were falling apart and no longer deemed "travel appropriate" by moi, cue a trip to Lululemon and these are what we found (i truly beleive all lifes problems can be sorted by a trip to Lululemon)
Aren't they awesome and they don't totally match because that would be lame
Lululemon cruiser backpack comes with...
Padded laptop storage
Camera pocket with mesh pocket for accessories
Stay hydrated! Keep water by your side
Hard shell case for your shades
Securely carry your yoga mat to and from class
Price $88
Donna Review: This bag is on the smaller side but still has tons of room for everything we need, It felt comfortable on, there were so many pockets that we actually lost the organic animal crackers for a day because we couldn't find which compartment they were in, the bag was stuffed under airplane seats, thrown in the back of the jeep and used as a foot rest during a delayed flight, and it still looks as good today as the day i bought it! While the price could be viewed as steep, i've gone through 3 roots backpacks at $35-40 so this is the cheaper alternative because like all my other Lululemon bags this will last forever!
BF Review: I like it (yeah, that was 3 more words then i thought i would get it!)

Recipe today is like comfort in a bar - peanut butter, oats, apples what more could one want? Well probably chocolate but i'll save that for another day! Not only did we love these bars but so did the doodle when my photo shoot went wrong and she was the grateful new owner of 3 only slightly dropped PBO bars
Peanut Butter Oatmeal Bars
Ingredients
2 cups of rolled oats
1/4 cup of whole wheat flour
1/4 tsp of baking powder
1/4 tsp of salt
1 peeled and chopped apple
1/3 cup of apple butter (or apple sauce)
1 Tbsp of cinnamon
1/2 cup of peanut butter melted
1 tsp of vanilla
1/3 cup of honey (or agave nectar)
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 (try not to end up with a ready to bake product and a freezing cold oven that would just be blonde and ridiculous)
2. In a large bowl combine all dry ingredients
3. Mix apple, apple butter and 1/2 Tbsp of cinnamon and microwave for 2 minutes
4. Add apple mixutre to the dry ingredients
5. Mix in the melted peanut butter and vanilla
6. Add honey a little at a time till everything is combined
7. Spread evenly into a greased spring form pan
8. Bake for 20 minutes
9. Let sit for 15 minutes before cutting
10. Completely ignore #9 and try some resulting in burnt tongue, you can't notice but i've been typing this with a lisp from my utter impatience
11. Get rreeaallyy frustrated at the lack of good lighting in your kitchen at night and rearrange your schedule so you can come home tomorrow to photograph your food in better light
12. Share these pictures with your readers so they don't think you have gone back to crap food photography courtesy of your iPhone (besides its still pouting with me and claims it has post traumatic stress from the poo related text messages on the weekend)
I hope everyone has a good Tuesday - BF and i are putting in an offer on a new house that has started going up in our neighbourhood, i'm soooo excited, here is a pic so far, what do you think? My dad says its a bit drafty, aahhh British humour
So much to do, so little time!!!
