i sang like an angel in my dream - this totally looks like

I CAN'T sing


The above 3 words are the biggest understatement of the century


Once i had a dream that i sang a Sarah MaClaughlin song to a circle of people and in the dream i sang so well people eventually joined in and it was the sweetest sound


And then i woke up feeling so at peace and happy


It goes down in history as one of Donnas most favourite dreams ever


But since i'm listening to music right now, went to a concert Saturday night, and am going to Zumba to shake my booty to music tonight i have music on my mind


Or in my mind


Or... nevermind

So how was everyones weekend?


It was pretty crazy in the L-S household

FRIDAY
Went for a run - forgot compression sleeve - at exactly 5km stop and limp home yelling obscenities and cursing letting BF run ahead with the water  
This is BF's i'm sexy and i'm shopping in the Bulk Barn face
My movies snack - 310 calories of British chocolate, mmmmmmm
 LRT MOVIE REVIEW: The Hangover


Like i said Friday i wasn't too excited about this movie, i was excited to see it with our friends Amy and Ryan and it turned out to be funnier then i though but i saw way too many peepee's then one ever needs to see in a movie - i lost count at like 6, yes i was counting :oD  So if you thought the first movie was too crazy then skip this one for sure!


SATURDAY:
Started my day with a dark chocolate cherry breakfast cookie, holy yummmmm!  Have i mentioned i spent  $10 on cherries the other day? Shhh don't tell BF apparently he doesn't like cherries :oP
The girl on this ball totally mocks me as i shake my way through Physique 57
Hardwood debate ends with a compromise that makes me grumpy, guess i can't always get my way :o( Must trust BF's judgement though.... hmph!

We must have crashed when we got home because we were still wearing bracelets when we woke up!
Discovered a doodle sleeping on my butt :o)
Figured after a REALLY hard Spartan class at the gym this morning i deserved a wholewheat pizza - didn't eat the whole thing, definitely shared with BF,  a bit ;o)
While rolling my calves i notice the sexy tan line i developed watching BF play baseball today,  this is hot
Start to decide what i will blog about today and get distracted that someone found my blog via popeye aint got abs??? teeheheheeeeee
Well thats the quickie summary version of my weekend!


I did make a kick ass dinner Friday night and i want to share a recipe with you 


I found Lindsays recipe the other day and KNEW i had to make them STAT, then after i ate them i realized i was going to make a new version for the BBQ Saturday


Crispy Parmesan Vegetables
Adapted from The Lean Green Bean

Ingredients
1 medium zucchini or 1 medium sweet potato or both!
1/4 cup of spelt breadcrumbs (or any breadcrumbs, i just didn't want to use white and spelt was the only other kind at Sobeys)
1/4 cup of parmesan cheese
Dash of sea salt
2 tsps of garlic powder
Fresh Ground pepper
1/2 cup of egg whites
1/2 cup of whole wheat flour


Directions
1. Chop vegetables into fry shaped pieces
2. Toss in whole wheat flour
3. Dip in egg whites
4. Roll in breadcrumb/parmesan/garlic/pepper/salt bowl
5. Place on cookie sheet for baking
6. Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees
7. Eat, Love, Enjoy!

Does this cape make me look fat?

I plan on being a superhero this week, i will be battling against the villain sodium!

Looking over my daily plate i notice that i have been eating a bit more then my recommended allowance of sodium and that added to the 3 slices of pizza i had last night could be why i don't look quite as slim in my banana republic grey knit dress today as i would like (if i'm honest, i look like i have the start of a baby bump, there isn't a baby in there, just a lot of pizza)


So wish me luck, i'm really good and keeping my sugar down but damn, there is a lot of sodium in the food i love (cheese, cheese and cheese)

Saturday I did make it to the grocery store Goodness Me and it was FAB, i was little girl excited walking up and down the aisles with a look of wonder on my face, here is what i bought

Trying coconut water again and got hubby some root beer and ginger beer for the pop withdrawls he is going through

Mmmm sweets!

For the hubby as he is desperately missing his pasta

i've never tried tempeh, tofu or veggie dogs before, wish me luck!

Tried 2/3 of these in oatmeal this morning, only 1 made the cut (hint: its in the middle)

Upside down i know, but i've been obsessed with this icecream since i tried it at a local icecream store that closed down and i'm ecstatic i found it at Goodness Me, too bad it cost $7.20 for that tiny container!

We had some yummy chili my mum made us and i drooled and ate and drooled over my ginger icecream, we watched a movie by Drew Barrymore called Whip it, a lot better then i thought it would be and hubby actually liked it (having Kings of Leon on the soundrack totally sold him)

Sunday I kissed hubby bye at 7, then went back to bed till 7:30, made thin bagel with peanut butter and my new jam then headed to Physique 57 at 9am, sooo hard!  Then went to Anti Gravity yoga at 10am, forgot how much i love this class, here is the description

After the gym, i snacked on a apricot bumblebar (yummy but i prefer to eat half at a time, they are kind of overwhelming), and a zico coconut water, i really want to like coconut water but i just don't think i can do it - headed to the grocery store, bought more food, came home, tidied up, unpacked food, prepared tomorrows dinner (stay tuned), made peanut butter protein balls, made hummus and at 6:30pm i finally had a shower (yes i was stinky!), then came the wine and the wholewheat pizza!

We used to have cheat weekends, now we have cheat meals, wholewheat takeout pizza and a frosty from wendys, mmmmmmm

Back to work today, only having one day off is hard but 5 days of work and its my 3 day weekend, woohoooo

Till then i have to put my cape on and fight the sodium battle :o)

Roses and Peanut Butter

Last night I was excited to get home as it was lululemon delivery day!  I had bought a couple of water bottles that were priced wrong for a little while on the lululemon.com website $10 off each, a present for m.d. and the new black roses cool racer back tank - the tank has been a little hit and miss, each one looks totally different due to the placing of the pattern i've seen pictures on the lululemon blogs showing bad placement of logos, and as much as i love lulu and their symbol i don't want it highlighting my booby region :o)  So my tank arrived with no headlight highlights, it was a little off centre which the OCD part of me didn't like but after texting a pic to m.d. he said he liked it as its a bit more edgier then the candyland colours i usually buy

I then wore the tank to Physique where i decided i loved it and then to Zumba (2 classes in a row, i was dead by the time i got home at 8:30!), it really held up well during Zumba were i get ridiculously sweaty - very happy I have decided to keep it, here is the pic...


This morning I woke up and ran a couple of kms before walking the rest of my route, my body said enough so i listened, i then came home and made 2 kinds of peanut butter cookies, i'm obsessed with peanut butter lately!

I'll take some pics and post the recipes once i've actually tried them both tonight and to end the blog today, here is a pic of one of my fav mugs that my sister gave me, i don't ACTUALLY need people to speak slowly but as a natural blonde i do lots of stereotypical blonde things, the other day i was talking to my bff on my cell and freaked out because i couldn't find my cell, yup, thats me :o)
